FIELD: industrial inorganic syntheses. SUBSTANCE: potassium permanganate solution is added to magnesium sulfate solution containing 8-15% of sulfuric acid under stirring followed by filtration and washing of final product. Product is appropriate to prepare efficient catalysts used to removing carbon monoxide from gas mixtures and in respiratory organ-protection systems.
