titleOfInvention | Biologically compatible contrast medium and method for producing ultrasonic images |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: medium has agent for amplifying ultrasonic image and carrier. Amplifying agent has chemical substance being gas heated to temperature of organism body subjected to ultrasonic scanning. The chemical substance is in the form of micro bubbles which life duration in water is at least 50 times longer than that of air bubbles in water. The carrier is liquid. The means improves ultrasonic images of cardiovascular system or other organs of vital importance owing to extremely small bubbles, micro bubbles, composed of specially selected gases. The mentioned microbubbles are distinguished by their long life duration in solution and size small enough to penetrate lungs. Method for selecting gases to create contrasting agents involves making calculations with physical properties of gases taken into consideration and describing means for relating gas properties to time required for solving microbubbles. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of method; high image contrast. 31 cl, 8 tbl |
