titleOfInvention | Method of recovering gold from gold-containing highly mineralized solutions from potassium fertilizer production |
abstract | FIELD: hydrometallurgy of precious metals. SUBSTANCE: gold largely present in colloid and dissolved forms is recovered when its content is at least 10 mcg/cu.dm by way of adjusting pH value to 5.8-7.2 through addition of reducing agent to solution a dialkyldithiocarbamic acid alkali metal salt. Resultant slurry is agitated and settled to separate gold-containing precipitate. Reducing agent employs salts of metals located below silver in the electromotive series forming with dialkyldithiocarbamic acid sparingly soluble sulfides. New, untraditional source return highly mineralized gold-poor solutions, when processed, give commercial concentrate with 10-50 g/t gold. EFFECT: enhanced gold recovery efficiency. 8 cl, 4 tbl |
