titleOfInvention Carboxymethylcellulose fiber, method of preparation thereof, and private-use moisture-absorbing product
abstract FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: original cellulose fiber is formed from solution of cellulose in organic solvent. Fiber is treated by alkali and monochloroacetic acid or its salt. Carboxymethylcellulose fiber thus prepared is characterized by degree of substitution of carboxymethyl group by glucose unit at least 0.1, is capable to absorb 0.9% salt solution in amount at least 8 g per 1 g of fiber (determined by free swelling method). Rupture strength of fiber is at least 10 cN/tex. Moisture-absorbing product contains layers of mixtures of 10-50% of the above-described fiber with one or several other textile fibers or wood-cellulose fibers. EFFECT: increased moisture-absorbing properties. 15 cl, 5 tbl
