titleOfInvention Method of removing hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans from liquid hydrocarbon fractions
abstract FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention aims at neutralizing corrosive and toxic hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans in liquid products of sour crude and gas-condensate processing, as well as petroliferous shales and coals. Method consists in treating liquid hydrocarbon fractions with formaldehyde and mono-, diethanolamine, N,N- dimethylpropylenediamine, or their mixture. Formaldehyde is advantageously used as aqueous solution in amount 0.8-5 mol of formaldehyde per 1 mol of hydrogen-sulfide or mercaptan sulfur. Treatment is preferably effected at 30-80 C. Purified products are non-corrosive and stand copper plate test. EFFECT: increased purification degree. 5 cl
