titleOfInvention Engine unit operation method
abstract FIELD: power unit with internal combustion engine operating on hydrogen or mixture of hydrogen with hydrocarbon fuel. SUBSTANCE: method comes to delivering finely broken energy carrier and water into gas generator and maintaining water mass-to-energy carrier ratio greater than stoichiometrically needed ratio, carrying out reaction, obtaining mixture of steam and hydrogen, delivering steam-gas into engine, combustion of burning mixture and converting energy of expanding gases into shaft rotation energy. Used as energy carrier is alloy including 96-75% of aluminium; 0.5-5.0% of gallium; 0.5-5.0% of indium; and tin, cadmium, antimony, bismuth and magnesium - the rest, with ratio of water and energy carrier masses within 5:1 to 10:1. Reaction is carried out at temperature of 60-67 C. Mixture of steam and hydrogen, mass ratio 5:1 is obtained. Then combustible gas and steam are separated from reaction slag products and slag is evacuated into settler where it is heated by exhaust gases to 450-500 C and water, non-consumed in reaction, is returned into gas generator for reuse. Air, before delivery into engine, is passed through energy carrier, thus reducing friction of parts, is heated by heat of steam-gas and is delivered through gas generator. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 1 dwg
