abstract | FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of synthesis of derivatives of benzo-[b]-naphthyridine of the general formula (I) where R means carboxyl, (C 1 -C 4 )-alkylhydroxycarbonyl, -CN, carbamoyl, (C 1 -C 4 )-alkylcarbamoyl and di-(C 1 -C 4 )-alkylcarbamoyl; R' - (C 1 -C 4 )-alkyl or (C 3 -C 6 )-cycloalkyl, and their salts. Method involves condensation of chlorofluoroquinoline derivative of the general formula (II) where R 1 - (C 1 -C 4 )-alkyl with amine of the general formula (III): R'-NH-CH 2 -CH 2 -R'' where R'' - (C 1 -C 4 )-alkylhydroxycarbonyl, -CN, carbamoyl, (C 1 -C 4 )-alkylcarbamoyl and di-(C 1 -C 4 )-alkylcarbamoyl. The synthesized derivative of chlorofluoroquinoline is subjected for cyclization followed by oxidation of product and isolation of the end compound as free form or salt. Derivatives of benzo-[b]-naphthyridines of the general formula (I) where R - -CN, carbamoyl, (C 1 -C 4 )-alkylcarbamoyl and di-(C 1 -C 4 )-alkylcarbamoyl are new compounds.
