abstract FIELD: biochemistry, electrochemical method of determination of α-tocopherol in tissue of hydrobionts, predominantly, of sturgeons. SUBSTANCE: starting material is subjected to extraction with methylene chloride or chloroform to extract fat fraction and determination of α-tocopherol in the latter is conducted by electrochemical method in presence of acetonitrile and methylene chloride. Cyclic volt-amperegram is taken, maximal current of anode peak of oxidation of α-tocopherol is found and content of the latter is found by calibration graph. EFFECT: small consumption of reactive agents, high speed of proximate analysis, high accuracy of determination, simplified usage of equipment and possibility of its operation under field conditions. 1 tbl
