titleOfInvention Cultured lawn caring method
abstract FIELD: agriculture and other fields, in particular, formation of sports grounds, decorative or soil-protective areas. SUBSTANCE: method involves sowing ground; sprinkler irrigation; weeding and periodical grass mowing. Upon sowing, ground is irrigated two times a day. First mowing is conducted, when grass reaches 8-10 cm height, further mowings are conducted, when grass height does not exceed 12 cm, with left grass height not exceeding 4-7 cm. Damaged portions of cover are to be periodically repaired by raking and adding repair soil mixture or ground or sand or soil-sand mixture containing seeds of grasses. Repair soil mixture contains, % be weight: sandy loam or loamy soil or black soil 60.0-80.0; peat 35.0-10.0; wood saw dust the balance. Lawn surface is periodically levelled by adding repair soil mixture free of seeds. Returning of damaged portions or, if necessary, the whole lawn is periodically carried out. Grass mowing of sports grounds is carried out one day prior to competitions. Terminating mowing is conducted so that further growing of grass is possible prior to coming of frosts. Fertilizers are periodically applied, with sports grounds being fertilized 5-10 days prior to competitions or training. Prior to fertilizer application, lawn sod aeration is carried out (punching, cutting of sod etc). Upon fertilizer application, fertilizers are washed off from leaves and stems into ground and ground is intensively irrigated for 3-4 days, two times a day. Sod aeration is effectuated by spiked roller or manual sod-punch or disk saw or other device. In the regions with snowy winters, snow is removed from grounds prior to utilization. Upper layer of grounds abundant with water due to rains or snow is dried by adding dry wood saw dust. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of grounds. 12 cl
