abstract FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting eye wall; inserting flask and introducing powdered drug for solving cataract nuclei. Flask is fixed to sclera by knotty stitches. Drill is inserted through flask opening by rotating it about longitudinal axis of flask. Channel is drilled in nucleus of lens with following introduction of powdered drug by means of hollow cylindrical needle. Flask is made cylindrical and its lower part is provided with beveled portion. Supporting platform with two openings is disposed in upper part of flask. Drill is loosely mounted within flask.
