abstract FIELD: rubber industry. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes use of mixture of cobalt (+2) or nickel (+2) oxides with molybdenum (+6) oxide adsorbed on inorganic substrate made of silicon or aluminium oxides. The claimed activator is novel in that, in addition to cobalt or nickel oxides absorbed on inorganic substrate, molybdenum oxides are used. This circumstance makes it possible to increase adhesion strength of rubbers to brass plated metallic cord, especially after ageing in vapor-air medium. EFFECT: improved adhesion of rubbers to brass plated metallic cord. 3 tbl
