titleOfInvention Method of synthesis of normal butyllithium
abstract FIELD: metalloorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method is carried out for two stages in medium of hydrocarbon solvent by interaction of normal butyl chloride with metallic lithium dispersion at 0-60 C at the first and second stage followed by exposition of reaction mass at (65-90 C). Method is based on synthesis of normal butyllithium at the first stage at mole ratio normal butyl chloride : lithium = 0.65-0.85 of stoichiometrically required value. The synthesized reaction products were separated and unreacted lithium is fed to synthesis again at the same ratio of components. The separated butyllithium solution is fed to the second stage that is terminated after addition of the second part of butyllithium solution and the remained amount of butyl chloride. Synthesis at the first stage is carried out at continuous circulation of reaction mass through refrigerator and normal butyl chloride is dosed at mass rate = (0.25-2.5) h with respect to lithium and added to the point exhibiting the minimal temperature. The end product is used as an initiating agent for monomer polymerization in rubber and thermoelastoplastics production. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis. 3 cl, 1 dwg
