titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for treating drain and polluted drinking water
abstract FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: purification of water containing organic impurities is based on oxidizing them by excited oxygen produced by way of introducing into water heterogeneous photosensitizer and subsequently illuminating it by visible light. Method is distinguished with applying photosensitizer onto branched surface of porous permeable substrate and forcing water to move through channels of this substrate when illuminated. Apparatus has source of water to be treated, oxygen source to saturate water being treated, water pump, flow chamber, porous permeable substrate with applied photosensitizer, and visible light source. Substrate is made either in the form polymer material balls, or in the form of fabric or fibers of polymer material or glass fabric. Flow chamber is composed by two coaxial cylindrical walls, inner wall of chamber being made from visible light-transparent material, whereas outer wall may be light reflecting one. Light source is installed on the axis of chamber. EFFECT: speeded up water purification. 10 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl
