abstract FIELD: psychiatry, alcoholism treatment. SUBSTANCE: preliminarily, patient is tested for representative system of conscious information output and system of unconscious information input. When performing rational psychotherapy, communication is effected in system of conscious information output and, when patient is in the trance state, he/she is affected in system of unconscious information input. Thus, for patients with visual system, suggestion formulas and psychological aim (cipher) are expressed by means of speech and gestures describing visual images; for patients with kinesthetic system, by means of communications transmitting sensual feelings; and for patients with audial system, by means of words and gestures transmitting acoustic characteristics. When fixing entered cipher in patient with unconscious visual system, patient's head is sharply turned first to the right and then to the left; in patients with kinesthetic system, pressing on side surfaces of eyeball is exerted for 20-40 s to reduce pulse rate to 5-10 contractions per 1 min; and in patients with audial system, pressing in region of medial part of overbrow arches is exerted to appearance of pain feeling.
