titleOfInvention Method of reprocessing aluminium wastes
abstract FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention mainly focuses on aluminium scrap and slag. Method consists in that flux is placed uniformly on surface of metal fusion and then, once waste is charged, protruding lumps are also covered with flux. Heating to 720-800 C is conducted in such a way that overheating of fusion relative its melting temperature were at least 30 C. As flux, mixture of 20% of cryolite (or exhausted electrolyte from aluminium production) and 80% of exhausted electrolyte from magnesium production is used, the latter being composed of (in wt %):potassium chloride, 70-80; sodium chloride, 10- 15; magnesium chloride, 5.8; magnesium oxide, calcium chloride, and water, the balance. Processing of aluminium slag is carried out at 750-780 C, and scrap at 720-750 C. Waste to flux ratio should be (0.5-5): 1. EFFECT: increased degree of isolation of metal and improved quality of product. 4 cl, 4 tbl
