FIELD: powder metallurgy, in particular, production of powder alloys on the base of titanium with metal solved in liquid magnesium. SUBSTANCE: method involves conducting titanium tetrachloride reduction process till aluminum content in magnesium reaches the value 2.1-5.7 times as great as that of basic value; stopping supply of titanium tetrachloride; introducing aluminum in the form of pellets, lumps (pigs) or liquid aluminum into magnesium melt; holding for predetermined time and continuing reduction process; determining residual concentration of aluminum (Al) in melt by formula: a = A - n , where A is basic concentration of Al in magnesium, kg ; is amount of titanium tetrachloride consumed by moment (a) of determination of residual concentration of Al, kg; n and m are permanent coefficients obtained as a result of tests for boundary conditions (A/a=2.1-5.7). EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of intermetallide. 3 cl, 1 tbl |
