abstract FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy, processing of oxidized nickel raw material. SUBSTANCE: method of oxidized nickel raw material processing provides for feeding of ore and lime flux in counter direction to high temperature exhaust gasses movement, heat with feeding of carbon-bearing fuel and production of smelt. Produced molten bath is going into plasma arc zone of furnace, in which it is treated with plasma of neutral gas feeding of solid reducer in amount of (0.04 - 0.045) of initial material weight. Troilite concentrate fed in amount of (0.02 - 0.03) of initial material weight is used for sulfitizing of smelt. EFFECT: improved process. 1 tbl
