titleOfInvention Size for chemical filaments
abstract FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: size for chemical filaments contains (in wt %): 15-40 polymetacrylic acid or a salt thereof; 4-25 polyethyleneglicol with MW 200; 0.01-1.00 oxyethylated C 8 -C 10 -alkylphenols with average oxyethylation degree 4-12 or oxyethylated C 12 -C 18 -fatty acids with average oxyethylation degree 5-10; 0.01-2.00 phosphoric acid having the formula H 5 P 3 O 10 ; the rest being water. The size may additionally contain 1-20 wt % C 2 -C 4 -alkanol as a wetting agent and viscosity regulator. Polyethyleneglycol is introduced at the stage of the metacrylic acid polymerization. Properties of the size are the following: temperature of turbidity not less than 55 C, contact angle of wetting of a polyamide film by 4% aqueous solution of the size 28-40 deg, pH of the aqueous solution 2-8, kinematic viscosity 50-5000 cSt, tearing strength of the sized polyamide filaments on looms STB-2-250 0.005-0.009 breaks per min. EFFECT: improved properties of size. 2 cl
