SUBSTANCE: product: derivatives of 1,4-bis-substituted 2,6,7-trioxabicyclo-[2,2,2]-octanes of the formula (I) R-C(CH 2 O) 3 C-X (1), where R and X have corresponding meanings; LD 50 less than about 400 mg/kg flies, Musca domestica. Value LD 50 in the presence of synergist is less than about 60 mg/kg. Pesticide activity is found against broad class of different insects.
