abstract | FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: solid component of ethylene polymerization catalyst has a mixture of titanium tetraalcoholate with silicon tetrachloride and titanium trichloride or zirconium tetraalcoholate as transient metal alkoxy-compound at content in the mixture 0.92-1.01 silicon atom per 1 alkoxy-group. Component is product prepared by suspending silica particles activated by dialkylmagnesium in ethanol in magnesium chloride solution, addition of transient metal alkoxy-compound to suspension at atomic ratio of magnesium in magnesium chloride transient metal 2.5-5.0 followed by ethanol evaporation, suspending solid residue in inert hydrocarbon, addition of alkylaluminium chloride solution in inert hydrocarbon to suspension at the ratio of chlorine atoms in alkylaluminium chloride and alkoxy-groups in alkoxy-compound of the transient metal from 1.73 to 2.06, separation of solid product followed by its washing with inert hydrocarbon and drying. Ratio of magnesium atoms, transient metal, chlorine and alkoxy-groups in dried product is from 7.2:1.0:18.9:5.4 to 8.2:2.0:36.2:17.1, respectively. Silicon dioxide content is 50-62 wt.-% per 100 wt.-% solid component of catalyst. Also, method of ethylene polymerization catalyst solid component synthesis, catalyst of ethylene polymerization containing solid component, and a method of polyethylene synthesis using catalyst containing solid component were given.
