FIELD: glass production. SUBSTANCE: b-spodumene having formula (Li 2 O·Al 2 O 3 ·4SiO 2 ) is prepared by mixing of intercalation compounds of aluminium hydroxide with lithium salts which contain organic anions of carboxylic acids and CO 2 3 - .
