titleOfInvention Method for treating clinical endometrites in cows
abstract FIELD: veterinary. SUBSTANCE: the principle of this method resides in consecutively intrauterinally administering two preparations one of which suppresses microflora and other one maintains sterility and stimulates recovery of uterine epithelium. First preparation including 0.75 to 1.25 % of hydrogen peroxide, 1.5 to 2.5 % of ichthyol, 10.0 to 20.0 % of sulfathiazole sodium, 3.0 to 6.0 % of iodoform, remainder being water, should be administered after making a diagnosis. Second preparation including 10.0 to 20.0 % of sulfathiazole, 3.0 to 6.0 % of iodoform, 3.0 to 5.0 % of ichthyol, balance being water, should be administered at least twice at interval of 70 to 72 h. Disclosed method prescribes combining administration of preparations with stimulation of contractions of uterus 10 to 12 h prior to each administration of preparations. Three procedures will suffice to effectively cure clinical endometritis and allow subinvolution of uterus 18 to 20 days after calving to dimensions of sound uterus. EFFECT: excellent results. 1 tbl
