abstract | FIELD: electrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: catalyst contains 1 to 25 mass percent of metallic silver, alkaline promoter-cesium in the form of oxide or hydroxide, 50 to 400 mlm atoms of fluoride and carrying agent containing aluminium oxide. Carrying agent - aluminium oxide is preliminarily mixed with a cesium compound in atomic relation of cesium-aluminium equal to 0.001 - 0.005. Then the obtained mixture is calcined at 1400 to 1600 C. The obtained carrying agent is impregnated with a solution of silver compound, solution of alkaline promoter-cesium compound containing fluoride-anions.
