titleOfInvention Method for diagnosing encephalon edema in neonates
abstract FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: this method prescribes ultrasonically scanning neonate's brain in middle sagittal plane and evaluating state of liquor tracts. In case study reveals echogenicity of structure of liquor tracts and preserved contours of these tracts in plane under examination, first degree of encephalon edema is to be diagnosed. If third ventricle of brain is not detected in circuits of liquor tracts, second degree of encephalon edema should be diagnosed. In case third and fourth ventricles are not detected and transparent septum space is revealed, third degree of encephalon edema should be diagnosed. If third and fourth ventricles and transparent septum space in circuits of liquor tracts are not detected, fourth degree of encephalon edema should be diagnosed. EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnosis and simpler diagnostic procedure. 1 tbl
