abstract FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of acting upon person, being tested, by color stimulus of yellow and red colors in the form of pulses with fixed pick brightness in such a way, that an eye of the person, being tested, is spaced from a light source by a distance, equal to (300-360) mm, a diameter of the yellow stimulus is (2.3-2.5) mm and a diameter of the red stimulus is (8-9) mm; determining a critical frequency of flashing coincidence for each color and for each eye (left and right) separately; averaging the received values of the critical frequency for each color and calculating upon each measuring a difference of the critical frequency values of the yellow and the red stimuli; according to the result, had been received, calculating a difference of index values for yellow and red colors with subsequent calculation of glucose concentration according to a formula : C = Co-b x difference value of critical frequencies of flashing coincidence for yellow and red colors, where C - glucose concentration, being detected, Co = 10.6 mmol/I; b = 0.92.
