abstract FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: product: 5,15-di(p-nitrophenyl)-3,7,13,17-tetramethyl-2,8,12,18-tetra- butylporphin. Yield is 37.9%. Reagent 1: 5,5′-dicarboxy-4,4′-dimethyl-3,3′- dibutyldipyrromethane. Reagent 2: p-nitrobenzealdehyde. Reaction conditions: in the presence of zinc acetate in the mixture of dimethyl- formamide with trifluoroacetic acid (concentration of latter is 0.5-10 vol. % ), at 150-170 C.
