abstract | FIELD: chemico-pharmaceutical industry and medicine. SUBSTANCE: 4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyrimidime DERIVATIVES of the formula: having antiallergic and immunotropic activity. Reagent 1: 2,6-dimethyl-1,5-diphenyl-4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyrimidine or 2.5-dimethyl-5-phenyl-1-(3-pyridinyl)-4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyridine. Reagent 2: 4-methoxybenzaldehyde, 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde. The process is carried out in a mixture of dimethyl sulfoxide and ethanol on boiling; the yield is 53-71%. R 1 -C 6 H 5 R 2 -OCH 3 ; the molecular weight is 394; mp 261-263 C; C 20 H 19 N 2 O, R 1 -C 6 H 5 , R 2 -OH, the molecular weight is 380 mp 317-319 C; C 19 H 17 N 2 O 2 , R 1 -C 6 H 5 , R 2 -3-pyridyl; the molecular weight is 395; mp 238-241 C, C 27 H 18 N 3 O com pounds are nontoxic (LD 50 mg/kg) and have marked antiallergic and immunostimulating activity.
