titleOfInvention | IMMUNIZATION BY A VECTOR ON THE BASIS OF THE RABIES VIRUS, EXPRESSING AN ALIEN PROTEIN ANTIGEN |
abstract | 1. A method of inducing an immune response in an individual, comprising the steps of: (a) producing an attenuated recombinant rabies virus encoding at least one foreign protein antigen operably linked to control sequences that control the expression of said foreign antigen in a suitable recipient cell; (b) introducing said rabies virus into a recipient cell of said individual under conditions that allow the expression of said one or more foreign protein antigens new, thereby inducing an immune response to said foreign protein antigen; (c) enhancing said immune response to said foreign protein antigen by administering to said individual said foreign protein antigen contained in an enhancing composition that does not contain an adjuvant. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the foreign protein antigen is not expressed in the structure of the recombinant virus. The method of claim 1, wherein the foreign protein antigen comprises prion protein antigen. A method according to claim 1, wherein said foreign protein antigen comprises at least one antigen selected from the group consisting of antigens associated with a malignant tumor, viral antigens, bacterial antigens, and protozoan antigens. The method of claim 4, wherein the cancer-associated antigen is selected from the group consisting of AIM-2, alpha-fetoprotein associated with bladder cancer protein associated with breast carcinoma MAR-binding proteins p90 and p70 associated with breast cancer protein 3, carcinoembryonic antigen, CA-125, antigen |
