abstract | 1. A method for producing a polymer product, comprising the steps of i) supplying an aqueous mixture containing a monoethylenically unsaturated monomer or a mixture of monoethylenically unsaturated monomers to the first reactor device through at least one inlet; ii) partially polymerizing the monomer or monomers and transferring the polymerizable monomer or monomer mixture from entrance to exit the first reactor device to obtain a partially polymerized product; iii) the outflow of the partially polymerized product from an outlet in which not more than 60% of the monomer or mixture monomers were polymerized in a partially polymerized product when it leaves the outlet of the first reactor device, and transferring it to the next reactor device having an inlet and outlet; iv) continuing the polymerization in the next reactor device and removing the polymer product from the outlet of the next reactor device, characterized in that a reactor device comprising a direct displacement piston pump is used as the first reactor device. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the first reactor device includes a rotor inside the stator and a plurality of cavities formed between the rotor and the stator, into which the monomer or mixture of monomers enters, and within which the monomer or mixture of monomers moves as a partially polymerizable monomer or monomers from the inlet to the output of the first reactor device. 3. A process according to claim 1 or 2, wherein no more than 35% of the monomer or mixture of monomers is polymerized in a partially polymerized product when it leaves the outlet of the first reactor device.
