abstract | 1. The composition of a milk replacer containing a mixture of vegetable oils containing up to about 15% by weight of saturated fatty acids, from about 45% to about 75% by weight of monounsaturated fatty acids, from about 15% to about 45% by weight of polyunsaturated fatty acids and about 3% by weight trans fatty acids. 2. The milk replacer composition of claim 1, wherein the vegetable oil mixture contains from about 45% to about 75% by weight of oleic acid, from about 10% to about 40% by weight of linoleic acid, and from about 1% to about 15% by weight α-linolenic acid. 3. The milk replacer composition of claim 1, wherein the vegetable oil mixture contains from about 30% to about 70% by weight of canola oil, from about 10% to about 45% by weight of soybean oil, and from about 10% to about 50% by weight high oleic acid oils. 4. The milk replacer composition of claim 1, wherein the vegetable oil mixture contains from about 30% to about 70% by weight of canola oil, from about 10% to about 45% by weight of sunflower oil, and from about 10% to about 50% by weight high oleic acid oils. 5. The milk replacer composition of claim 3, wherein the high oleic acid oil is selected from the group consisting of high oleic acid sunflower oil, high oleic acid corn oil, high oleic acid soybean oil, and high canola oil oleic acid, safflower oil with a high content of oleic acid and mixtures thereof. 6. The milk replacer composition of claim 3, wherein the high oleic acid oil is a high oleic acid sunflower oil. The milk replacer composition according to claim 1, which is a powder milk replacer. 8. |
