abstract | 1. A method of inhibiting MASP-3-dependent complement activation in an individual suffering from or at risk of developing a disease or disorder selected from the group consisting of age-related macular degeneration, arthritis, disseminated intravascular coagulation, thrombotic microangiopathy, asthma, dense deposit disease, low-immune necrotizing glomerulonephritis with half moons, traumatic brain damage, aspiration pneumonia, endophthalmitis, optic neuromyelitis or Bech disease an even comprising administering to the individual a composition containing an amount of an MASP-3 inhibiting agent effective to inhibit MASP-3 dependent complement activation. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the MASP-3 inhibitor is a monoclonal anti-MASP-3 antibody or fragment thereof that specifically binds to part of SEQ ID NO: 8.3. The method of claim 1, further comprising administering to the individual a composition comprising a MASP-1.4 inhibitory agent. The method of claim 3, wherein the MASP-1 inhibitor is a monoclonal anti-MASP-1 antibody or fragment thereof that specifically binds to part of SEQ ID NO: 10.5. The method of claim 1, further comprising administering to the individual a composition comprising a MASP-2.6 inhibitory agent. The method of claim 5, wherein the MASP-2 inhibitor is a monoclonal anti-MASP-2 antibody or fragment thereof that specifically binds to part of SEQ ID NO: 5.7.
