titleOfInvention | ANTI-PMEL17 ANTIBODIES AND THEIR IMMUNO CONJUGATES |
abstract | 1. An isolated antibody that binds to PMEL17, characterized in that the antibody binds an epitope within amino acids 105-125 of the sequence SEQ ID No. 26 or binds an epitope within amino acids 25-45 of the sequence SEQ ID No. 26.2. An antibody according to claim 1, which is a monoclonal antibody. An antibody according to claim 1, which is a human, humanized or chimeric antibody. The antibody of claim 1, which is a fragment of an antibody that binds PMEL17.5. The antibody according to claim 1, characterized in that PMEL17 is human PMEL17. The antibody according to claim 5, characterized in that the human PMEL17 contains the sequence of SEQ ID No. 26 or SEQ ID No. 27.7. The antibody according to claim 1, characterized in that the antibody contains: a) (i) HVR-H3 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 5, (ii) HVR-L3 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 8, and (iii) HVR -H2 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 4; or b) (i) an HVR-H3 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 15, (ii) an HVR-L3 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 8, and (iii) an HVR-H2 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 14; or c) HVR-H3, HVR-L3, and HVR-H2 of an antibody synthesized by hybridoma 7509 (31D1.6.7) having ATCC accession number No. PTA-12862.8. The antibody according to claim 1, characterized in that the antibody contains: a) (i) HVR-H1 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 3, (ii) HVR-H2 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 4, and (iii) HVR -H3 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 5; or b) (i) an HVR-H1 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 13, (ii) an HVR-H2 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 14, and (iii) an HVR-H3 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 15; or c) HVR-H1, HVR-H2 and HVR-H3 of an antibody synthesized by hybridoma 7509 (31D1.6.7) having ATCC accession number No. PTA-12862.9. The antibody according to claim 8, characterized in that the antibody contains: a) (i) HVR-H1 containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 3, (ii) HVR-H2, containing |
