titleOfInvention | DIRECTED MODIFICATION OF MALATEDHYDROGENASE |
abstract | 1. A plant that includes one or more plant cells in which the endogenous malate dehydrogenase (MDH) gene is modified, so that the activity of the expressed MDH protein is modified, and the fruit yield of which is increased. A plant according to claim 1, wherein the endogenous MDH gene is the mitochondrial MDH gene (mMDH). The plant of claim 1, wherein the modification comprises a mutation in one or more NADH-binding domains of the MDH.4 gene. The plant according to claim 1, in which the modification is within the amino acid residues 104-136 and / or 171-220 SEQ ID NO: 1, or in a relatively numbered and combined area in excellent plant form. A plant according to claim 1, wherein one or more of the MDH alleles are modified. A plant according to claim 1, selected from the group consisting of tomato, soybean, corn, potato and alfalfa. 7. A plant according to claim 1, wherein the modification is carried out using a fusion protein comprising a DNA binding domain and a functional domain. A plant according to claim 7, wherein the composite protein is nuclease with zinc finger domains. The plant of claim 8, wherein the zinc finger domains nuclease comprises five or six zinc fingers domains arranged in order from finger 1 to finger 5 or from finger 1 to finger 6, wherein each zinc finger domain includes a recognizing helical region, wherein the nuclease with zinc finger domains includes recognizing helical regions ordered and shown in the same row of Table 1A.10. The plant of claim 8, wherein the zinc finger nuclease includes the non-canonical zinc finger domain of 11. The plant of claim 7, wherein the composite protein is introduced into the plant cell as a polynucleotide. 12. Part of the plant from the plant of any one of paragraphs 1-5, including od |
