abstract | 1. An isocyanate-containing prepolymer obtained by reacting at least one isocyanate with at least one first compound selected from the group consisting of monohydric alcohols, thiols and secondary amines; where the ratio of the NCO value of the isocyanate-containing prepolymer to the OH, SH or NH value of said monohydroxy alcohol, thiol or secondary amine, respectively, is in the range from 0.0005 to 1.0000, and where, said at least one first compound is present in a total amount equal to at least 40 wt.% of the total mass of the isocyanate-containing prepolymer. 2. A prepolymer according to claim 1, wherein said first compound is a monohydroxy alcohol, preferably selected from the group consisting of monohydroxy polyesters, monohydroxy C1-20 hydroxyalkyl and monohydroxy heterocyclyl. A prepolymer according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the viscosity of the prepolymer is in the range from 1000 to 200,000 mPa · s, the viscosity being measured at 25 ° C. using a Brookfield viscometer in accordance with ASTM D 4889, without adding any or plasticizer. 4.
