abstract 1. Therapeutic and prophylactic dermatological composition for local and external use, containing the active substance in the form of complex compounds of salts of rare earth elements, quaternary ammonium compounds and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, characterized in that it contains an acid-base indicator for color visualization of changes in the acid-base state of the composition when exposed to external factors of a chemical nature. 2. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the acid-base indicator is a mixed indicator: 0.1 g of dimethyl yellow, methyl red, bromothymol blue, phenolphthalein and thymolphthalein dissolved in 500 ml of ethylcarbitol. 3. The composition according to claim 2, characterized in that it contains a mixed indicator in an effective amount of from 0.5 to 1.0% by weight of the composition. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that it contains as an active substance an effective amount of a complex compound of salts of rare-earth elements of the general formula: Ln (X) (X) (L) · mHO, where Ln is the cation of the rare-earth element of the cerium subgroup, which includes lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, or mixtures thereof; X is —OH, —O — C-alkyl; Hob is nitrate or chloride; L is a ligand of the complex compound {RO [(CHR) mO] mR} in which R is H, C 1-6 alkyl, linear or branched; R is H, methyl, ethyl, propyl or isopropyl, poly- (CH-CH-OH); m is an integer equal to 1 or 2; m is an integer equal to 1, 2 or 3; p is an integer equal to 1 or 2; m is an integer equal to 1, 2 or 3.5.
