titleOfInvention | COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR INCREASING RESISTANCE TO NEMATODES IN PLANTS |
abstract | 1. A method of controlling a plant pest related to nematodes, comprising contacting a plant pest related to nematodes with a transgenic plant or part thereof, in the genome of which is included a recombinant nucleic acid molecule that modulates the expression of one or more polypeptides selected from the group consisting of from SEQ ID NO: 29-42, SEQ ID NO: 135-209, SEQ ID NO: 243-260, SEQ ID NO: 665-1046 and any combination thereof, thereby controlling the pest of plants related to nematodes. 2 . The method of claim 1, wherein the recombinant nucleic acid molecule comprises a nucleotide sequence operably linked to a promoter that functions in a plant or in a plant cell, and wherein the nucleotide sequence is selected from the group consisting of: (a) a nucleotide sequence from any of SEQ ID NO: 1-28, SEQ ID NO: 43-134, SEQ ID NO: 210-242, SEQ ID NO: 261-644; (b) a nucleotide sequence that encodes a polypeptide containing an amino acid sequence from any of SEQ ID NO: 29-42, SEQ ID NO: 135-209, SEQ ID NO: 243-260, S EQ ID NO: 665-1046; (c) a nucleotide sequence having at least 70% sequence identity with the nucleotide sequence of (a) or (b); (d) a nucleotide sequence that hybridizes under stringent hybridization conditions with a nucleotide a sequence from (a), (b) or (c) or its complementary sequence; (e) a nucleotide sequence that differs from the aforementioned nucleotide sequences from (a), (b), (c) or (d) due to degeneracy genetic code; and (f) any combination of nucleotide sequences from (a) to (e). 3.
