abstract | 1. A method for producing 1-butene and a 1,3-butadiene derivative, which includes the following stages: a) nonoxidative catalytic dehydrogenation of an initial gas stream containing n-butane, hydrogen, other low-boiling by-components and high-boiling products, and a product mixture containing unconverted n-butane, 1-butene, both 2-butene, 1,3-butadiene, hydrogen, other low boiling point by-products and high boiling products, b) evolution of hydrogen, other low boiling point components and high boiling products, and a product mixture containing n- butane, 1-butene, both 2-butene and 1,3-butadiene, c) converting part of the 1,3-butadiene obtained in step b) into its derivative, d) isolating the 1,3-butadiene derivative obtained in step c), e) selective hydrogenation of 1,3-butadiene, not converted in step c) into its derivative, to 1-butene, f) distillative separation of 1-butene from the hydrocarbon stream obtained in step e), leaving a residual stream. 2. A process according to claim 1, wherein the residual stream formed in step f) is wholly or partially introduced into the feed gas stream. The method according to claim 2, wherein before introducing the residual stream into the initial gas stream, at least partial conversion of linear butenes contained in the residual stream and removal of the products of this transformation from the residual stream are performed. A process according to claim 3, wherein conversion is understood to mean oligomerization.
