titleOfInvention METHOD FOR LASER-SPARK EMISSION DETERMINATION OF LANTANE, CERIUM, PRASODEODIUM, NEODIUM IN METAL ALLOYS AND POWDERS
abstract 1. The method of laser-spark emission determination of lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium in metal alloys and powders is based on the action of focused laser radiation on the surface of the test sample, and a laser spark of optical breakdown occurs, the resulting plasma contains pairs of the test substance, analysis of the glow of the laser spark with the help of a polychromator, a multi-element photodetector, and a PC interface unit, it is possible to isolate the spectral lines of the vapors of the elements being determined, the identification of the spectrum lines and the analysis is carried out automatically using software containing a library of emission spectra, characterized in that with this method of determining lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, special modes of laser-spark exposure to the sample are used to excite the spectra of elements, namely, the duration laser pulse 0.02-240 μs, laser radiation energy 0.12-0.9 J.2. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that a specially prepared sample in the form of a disk with a diameter of 5-12 mm is placed on the substrate of a program-controlled stage of a laser-spark emission spectrum analyzer; laser pulses are produced with an energy of 0.12-0.9 J and a duration of 0, 02-240 μs, on the surface of the test sample with excitation of a laser plasma and the subsequent determination of lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium in an automated mode, to determine the elements, the most sensitive lines experimentally established are used wave emission in the spectral ranges for: lanthanum 390-415 nm, cerium 400-425 nm, praseodymium 410-425 nm, neodymium 400-415 nm.
