titleOfInvention HYDROPHILIC BASIS OF CHEWING RUBBER
abstract 1. The basis of chewing gum, containing: a) a hydrophilic precursor component containing hydrolyzable structural units; and b) a copolymer of a hydrophilic monomer with a second monomer selected from vinyl acetate, isobutylene, isoprene, butyl rubber or styrene butadiene. 2. The chewing gum base of claim 1, wherein the hydrophilic monomer is one or more selected from vinyl alcohol, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, ethylene glycol methacrylate, N, N-dimethyl acrylamide, 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, acrylamide, N-isopropyl acrylamide, 2- (dimethylamino) , 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid, ethylene oxide, ethylene glycol and propylene glycol. 3. A chewing gum base according to claim 1, wherein the copolymer comprises polyvinyl acetate and polyvinyl alcohol. A chewing gum base according to claim 1, wherein the hydrolyzable structural unit is selected from the group consisting of an ester linkage, an ether linkage, and an anhydride bond. A chewing gum base according to claim 1, wherein the hydrophilic precursor component comprises a polymer or a salt thereof. The chewing gum base of claim 5, wherein the polymer is selected from a copolymer of methyl vinyl ether and maleic anhydride and / or its salt, copolymers of polystyrene and maleic anhydride and / or their salt; polysuccinimide and / or its salt, and combinations thereof, copolymers of vinyl pyrrolidone and vinyl acetate and / or their salt, and alginates and / or their salts. 7. The chewing gum base according to claim 5, wherein the salt of the polymer containing hydrolyzable structural units is selected from an alkali metal salt or an alkaline earth metal salt. The chewing gum base of claim 1, wherein the hydrophilic precursor component has
