titleOfInvention Polymerization in the mass of conjugated dienes using a catalytic system based on nickel
abstract 1. A method for producing a polydiene, comprising the steps of: (i) providing a conjugated diene monomer; (ii) loading a nickel-based catalyst system into a conjugated diene monomer; and (iii) loading a Lewis modulating base into a conjugated diene monomer to polymerize, thereby, a conjugated diene monomer in the presence of a Lewis modulating base, wherein said step of loading a modulating Lewis base is carried out separately from said step of loading a nickel-based catalyst, and said providing steps the conjugated diene monomer, nickel-based catalyst system charges and Lewis base charges provide a polymerization mixture containing less than 20% by weight of organic solvent based on the total weight of the polymerization mixture. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the nickel-based catalyst system is a combination or reaction product of (a) a nickel-containing compound, (b) an alkylating agent, and (c) a fluorine source, wherein the molar ratio of alkylating agent to nickel-containing compound is from about 10 : 1 to about 50: 1, wherein the molar ratio of fluorine source to nickel-containing compound is from about 70: 1 to about 130: 1.3. The method of claim 2, wherein the nickel-containing compound is selected from the group consisting of nickel carboxylates, nickel carboxylate borates, nickel organophosphates, nickel organophosphonates, nickel organophosphinates, nickel carbamates, nickel dithiocarbamates, nickel xanthogenates, nickel β-diketonates or aryl aryl oxides , nickel halides, nickel pseudohalides
