abstract | 1. A liquid concentrated flavoring agent comprising: water in an amount of from about 10% to about 90%; a flavoring component in an amount of from about 2% to about 40%, containing an active flavoring ingredient in an amount of from about 0.1% to about 10 % by weight of liquid concentrated flavoring; and a sweetener in an amount providing a sweetness of the liquid concentrated flavor from about 50 degrees to about 65 degrees on the Brix scale, wherein the pH of the liquid concentrated flavor is in the range of from about 5.0 to about 7.0.2. The concentrated liquid flavoring agent according to claim 1, wherein said amount of sweetener provides an increase in the sweetness of the beverage to which the liquid concentrated flavoring is added in a ratio of from about 1:40 to about 1: 160, by no more than 2 degrees on the Brix scale. The liquid concentrated flavoring according to claim 1, having a water activity not exceeding about 0.76.4. The concentrated liquid flavoring agent according to claim 1, further comprising a non-aqueous liquid in an amount not exceeding about 30%. The liquid concentrated flavoring according to claim 1, the pH of which is in the range from about 5.0 to about 5.2.6. A liquid concentrated flavorant with reduced water activity, comprising: water in an amount of from about 10% to about 45%; a flavoring component in an amount of from about 3% to about 40%; and a sweetener in an amount of at least about 40%, wherein the activity of the liquid concentrated flavoring water does not exceed about 0.84.7.
