titleOfInvention | COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR TOPICAL APPLICATION AND TRANSDERMAL DELIVERY OF BOTULIN TOXINS |
abstract | 1. The composition for topical application and transdermal delivery of botulinum toxins, including: botulinum toxin, a positively charged carrier containing a hetero- or homo-polymer; poloxamer; and an oligomeric bridging compound, while the botulinum toxin, a positively charged carrier and an oligomeric bridging compound are not connected covalently with each other. 2. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the positively charged carrier also contains side groups. The composition according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the positively charged carrier has a molecular weight of less than 21,000 Da. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the positively charged carrier is polylysine or PEI. The composition according to claim 2, characterized in that the side groups are protected oligoarginine or TAT.6 domains. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that it further comprises a viscosity modifying agent. The composition according to claim 6, characterized in that the viscosity modifying agent is hydroxypropyl cellulose or Cetaphil. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the oligomeric bridging compound is a polyaspartate. The composition according to claim 8, characterized in that the polyaspartate has a molecular weight of 3000 Da. The composition according to claim 2, characterized in that the positively charged carrier further comprises positively charged side groups. The composition of claim 10, wherein the side groups are amino acids with sequences selected from the group consisting of (gly) -RGRDDRRQRRR- (gly), (gly) -YGRKKRRQRRR- (gly) and (gly) -RKKRRQRRR- (gly), where the indices p and q, each independently, denotes an integer from 0 to 20.12. The composition of claim 10, characterized in |
