abstract | 1. An aqueous composition that reduces hydrodynamic resistance, which contains: from about 10% to about 45% finely ground solid polyolefin, which is a means of reducing friction formed from monoolefins containing from 2 to 30 carbon atoms; 0.1-5% by weight of a polyelectrolyte dispersant containing a polycarboxylate having the following general formula: where R and R are independently H or methyl, where R is an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, where x and y are integers that may be the same or different, the sum of x and y being from 10 to 700, where M is a cation; an aqueous suspending medium. 2. The composition of claim 1, wherein said aqueous suspending medium comprises water. The composition of claim 1, wherein said hydrodynamic drag reducing agent is present in an amount of about 30 to about 41% by weight. The composition according to claim 1, wherein said friction reducing polyolefin agent is produced by solution polymerization. The composition of claim 1, wherein said polyolefin friction reducing agent is produced by mass polymerization. The composition according to claim 1, additionally containing from about 0.1 to about 25% by weight of the coating agent. The composition of claim 6, wherein said coating agent comprises wax. The composition of claim 7, wherein said wax is a hydrocarbon wax. The composition of claim 6, wherein said coating agent comprises a metal salt of a fatty acid.
