abstract | 1. Biocidal composition containing 2,2-dibromomalonamide and a metal selected from the group consisting of silver, copper and mixtures thereof. The composition of claim 1 wherein the weight ratio of 2,2-dibromomalonamide to metal is from about 1000:1 to about 1:100.3. A composition according to one of claims 1 and 2, wherein the metal is silver and the weight ratio of 2,2-dibromomalonamide to metal is from about 800:1 to about 1:1.4. A composition according to one of claims 1 and 2, wherein the metal is copper and the weight ratio of 2,2-dibromomalonamide to metal is from about 100:1 to about 1:1.5.
