titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR PROCESSING PEROXIDE SOLUTIONS |
abstract | 1. A method of processing a peroxide solution, including: a) collecting the initial peroxide solution, including peracid and hydrogen peroxide; b) adding the enzyme to the initial peroxide solution and then c) adding a reducing agent to the initial peroxide solution, where at least 0.1 part of the peroxide compounds destroyed by the enzyme account for 1 part of the peroxide compounds destroyed by the reducing agent; d) obtaining a treated peroxide solution as a result of the addition of the enzyme and the reducing agent. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the peracid is selected from the group consisting of peracetic acid, peroctanoic acid, and mixtures thereof. The method of claim 1, wherein the enzyme is selected from the group consisting of catalase, peroxidase, and mixtures thereof. The method according to claim 1, where the reducing agent is selected from the group consisting of bisulfite salts, metabisulfite salts, thiosulfite salts, sulfite salts, sulfur dioxide, charcoal, activated carbon, ascorbic acid, isoascorbic acid, metal catalysts, UV radiation and mixtures thereof. five. The method of claim 1, wherein the pH of the initial peroxide solution is in the range of about 1 to about 10.6. The method of claim 1, wherein the initial peroxide solution temperature is in the range of about 1 ° C to about 70 ° C. The method of claim 1, wherein the concentration of peroxide compounds in the initial peroxide solution is in the range of about 1 ppm to about 50,000 ppm. The method according to claim 1, where the initial peroxide solution is collected from the disinfection, bleaching or oxidation process in the food or beverage production plant, from medical surfaces, surfaces in contact with food |
