titleOfInvention OXYGEN CONSUMPING ELECTRODE, METHOD FOR ITS PRODUCTION AND APPLICATION
abstract 1. An oxygen consuming electrode containing at least one collector of electric current and a gas diffusion layer with a catalytically active component, characterized in that the gas diffusion layer is made in the form of a porous film of fluorinated polymers, in particular in the form of a porous polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film, into which, as a catalytically active component, finely dispersed catalyst particles with an average diameter ranging from 0.05 μm to 5 μm and an average length ranging from 10 μm to 700 μm of catalytic metal are introduced, and which are electrically connected to an electric current collector. 2. The oxygen-consuming electrode according to claim 1, characterized in that the catalyst contains silver as a catalytically active component. The oxygen consuming electrode according to claim 1, characterized in that the catalyst particles have an average diameter in the range from 0.1 μm to 5 μm and an average length in the range from 10 μm to 700 μm. The oxygen-consuming electrode according to claim 1, characterized in that the electric current collector is in the form of a permeable, electrically conductive flat structure, in particular in the form of a metal mesh, nonwoven fabric, foam, fabric, wicker, knitted fabric or drawn metal. The oxygen-consuming electrode according to claim 4, characterized in that the electric current collector is made in the form of an elastic textile structure, in particular consisting of metal threads. The oxygen-consuming electrode according to claim 1, characterized in that nickel or silver-plated nickel is used as the material for the electric current collector. The oxygen-consuming electrode according to claim
