The composition according to claim 1, additionally containing vitamins and minerals. The composition of claim 1, further comprising at least one ω-6 fatty acid. The composition of claim 1, further comprising arachidonic acid. A method of providing additional nutrition to a subject, comprising administering to the subject a food composition comprising: an emulsion containing docosahexaenoic acid, in which the emulsion is dispersed in an aqueous component containing at least one of the amino acid components selected from the group consisting of: arginine, arginyl-glutamine and alanyl-glutamine; emulsifier containing highly purified α-lactalbumin. 9.
