The recombinant DNA molecule according to claim 1, wherein said recombinant DNA molecule is formed by the insertion of a heterologous nucleic acid molecule into the genomic DNA of a soybean plant, plant cell or seed. The recombinant DNA molecule according to claim 1, where the specified DNA molecule is obtained from a transgenic soybean object MON 87708, an indicative sample of which is deposited in ATCC as PTA-9670.4. The recombinant DNA molecule according to claim 1, wherein said DNA molecule is located in a soybean plant, plant cell, seed, part of a plant or product obtained from a soybean object MON 87708, an indicative sample of which is deposited in ATCC as PTA-9670.5. The recombinant DNA molecule according to claim 1, wherein said DNA molecule is an amplicon, diagnostic in relation to the presence of DNA obtained from MON 87708. A DNA molecule containing a nucleotide molecule having a nucleotide sequence with a sufficient length of the continuous nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 6 and its complementary sequence to function as a DNA probe hybridizing under stringent hybridization conditions with a DNA molecule containing a nucleotide sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 1-8, and non-hybridizable under stringent hybridization conditions with a DNA molecule that does not contain a nucleotide sequence selected from ppy consisting of SEQ ID NO: 1-8.7.
