titleOfInvention USE OF CURABLE RESINS CONTAINING A POLYMER BASED ON (MET) GLYCIDYL ACRYLATE TO PRODUCE MATERIALS FOR USE IN SPACE
abstract 1. Use of a curable resin containing a prepolymer comprising at least one repeating unit of formula (I) below: in which R is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, for the manufacture of a composite material that is intended to harden in a vacuum of outer space by curing the curable resin it contains 2. Use according to claim 1, wherein the molar content of the repeating unit of formula (I) in the prepolymer is from 20 to 100%. Use according to claim 1, wherein the prepolymer comprises: at least one repeating unit of formula (I); and at least one repeating block of formula (II) below: in which R 2 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and R 2 is a straight or branched chain alkyl group having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms. 4. Use according to claim 1, wherein the repeating unit of formula (I) corresponds to the specific formula (Ia) below: 5. Use according to claim 3, wherein the repeating unit of formula (II) corresponds to the specific formula (IIa) below: 6. Use according to claim 3, wherein the prepolymer is poly (glycidyl methacrylate-n-butyl co-acrylate). Use according to claim 3, wherein the molar content of the repeating block of formula (I) in the prepolymer is from 40 to 70%, while the molar content of the repeating block of formula (II) in the prepolymer is from 30 to 60%. Use according to claim 7, wherein the molar content of the repeating block of formula (I) in the prepolymer is 45 to 65%, while the molar content of the repeating block of formula (II) in the prepolymer is 35 to 55%.
