titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR PRODUCING FUSIDIC ACID CREAM |
abstract | 1. A method of manufacturing a cream containing fusidic acid, the method comprising the step of using sodium fusidate as the starting active ingredient and converting said sodium fusidate in situ to fusidic acid in a cream base in an oxygen-free environment. The cream manufacturing method according to claim 1, wherein said cream base contains a preservative, an acid, a co-solvent, an emulsifier and a waxy product together with water, preferably purified water. The cream manufacturing method according to claim 1, wherein the step of using sodium fusidate as a starting active ingredient and converting said sodium fusidate in situ to a fusidic acid in a cream base in an oxygen-free environment comprises the following steps: a. heating purified water in an amount of from 20% (by weight) to 75% by weight, preferably from 35% by weight to 50% by weight, more preferably from 40% by weight to 43% by weight in a vessel for the aqueous phase up to a temperature of 70 ° C to 80 ° C, c. adding to the specified vessel for the aqueous phase a preservative selected from the group comprising methylparaben, propylparaben, chlorocresol, potassium sorbate, benzoic acid and the like, either one or any combination thereof in an amount of from 0.05% in a weight ratio to 0.5 % by weight, preferably 0.3% by weight, more preferably 0.2% by weight, more preferably benzoic acid, c. mixing the mixture using a stirrer at a rotation speed of 10 to 50 rpm and maintaining the temperature of the mixture from 70 ° C to 80 ° C, d. adding waxy |
